About Us
Our artists mostly book on an appointment-only basis. You can look through our Instagram highlights to see their work or visit their meet the artist pages to see their booking policies and portfolios. Don't forget to check recent postings to see which fabulous guest artists will be coming through!
Occasionally, our artists will have time for a walk-in tattoo. If there is any availability, we will post on the shop Instagram story/. As a true collective, we don't have a front desk staff, we handle all of our own bookings, policies, and pricing. If nobody answers your DM, it's because we are working and are unable to reach the phone. It's better to set an appointment with your chosen artist to ensure we have adequate time with you.
We will occasionally host walk-in style flash days, for Pioneer Square's first Thursday Art Walk, Friday the 14th specials, and other special occasions! Keep your eyes peeled for updates on these events!
Location, Parking, and Accessibility
MAMA BIRD LOCATION:
We are located at 108 S Jackson St, Suite 300 in historic Pioneer Square.
Your artist will send you a street door code once your appointment is confirmed.
Our building is old enough that we do not have an elevator. If you need assistance on the stairs please let us know! If you are a wheelchair user, let us know in advance and we can schedule with a neighboring space to make sure your appointment is accessible for you.
PARKING:
Street parking is available and is paid by the app or the stations. They don’t really check if you move your car every two hours but they do check if you pay. I personally don’t recommend the lots here since they’re so overpriced and overticketed. Street parking is free after 6 pm.
PUBLIC TRANSIT:
Seattle Streetcar: Occidental Mall stop is across the street from our front door.
1 Line: Pioneer Square Station is a 7 minute walk to our front door.
Bus Stops: Alaskan way & S Jackson St are a 3 minute walk.
2nd Ave & Jackson St are a 5 minute walk.
Water Taxi and Ferry Terminal is an 8 minute walk.

BIKE:
There is a bike rack right outside our front door, or if you’d like you can bring your bike with you up the stairs inside the studio. Please do not block the lobby door area with your bicycle.
Land Acknowledgement and Zero Tolerance Policy
We would like to acknowledge with gratitude that we are living and working on the tritonal land of the Coast Salish People, past, present, and future.
We honor and recognize that simply presenting a land acknowledgement does not necessarily put in the work of building a relationship with the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Muckleshoot people, but it does take the first step down a long road of minimizing erasure of heritage and culture of the people of this land.
